About the Exchange
The Health & Safety Best Practice Exchange enables you to design your own unique learning experience tailored around your own needs, interests and challenges.
The format of the event is designed to enable the effective sharing of best practice, through peer-to-peer interaction. It is a forum to foster professional networks and develop actionable ideas about how to improve health & safety in your workplace.
Roundtable discussion groups enable participants to discuss specific challenges, share knowledge and experiences and explore alternatives for action. Each group has a facilitator to help focus the discussion so that individuals may learn from the collective experience of the group.
How it works
Using the online Agenda Planner service, each participant creates a bespoke programme ~ with discussion groups, briefings, training opportunities and structured networking, focused around their own particular interests.
The Agenda Planner is located within a password protected section of the Health & Safety Exchange web site, which you will be able to access with a password that will be emailed to you following registration.
Upon registering, you will be invited to submit a brief personal profile, with details of your own interest areas and indicating any particular health & safety experience that you might be willing to share with others. All profiles will be posted onto the secure web site, but without contact details being displayed.
Then on the run-up to the event, all registered participants will be invited to use the search facilities within the Agenda Planner to identify others with matching interests, submit their meeting requests and register for the discussion groups that they wish to attend.
Where two parties agree to meet, a brief twenty-minute appointment will be scheduled to take place at a mutually convenient time during one of the networking periods. Meetings are scheduled to take place in an informal networking lounge.
You can also use the Agenda Planner to: review newly registered participants; check the status of your meeting requests; respond to any requests to meet with you; and a week prior to the event, to view your own Personal Agenda online.
When you arrive at the event, you will receive a delegate pack containing your Personal Agenda, detailing your bespoke programme of conference sessions, discussion groups and networking activities.
